A List of International Corporate Foundations and Grants Programs for NGOs in Developing Countries

Corporate agencies have welfare programs to provide financial support for various community development projects as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). But many of these programs are limited to those areas where these corporates are active and those where they think there is high potentiality for their products and services.

However, there are some international corporates which offer grants to NGOs without taking into consideration their commercial interests. In general, these corporates provide financial support to organizations in most parts of the world, including poor and developing countries. Many of them also have established exclusivefoundations to support projects and programs for reducing poverty and improving the living conditions of the poor around the world.

Here is the list of these corporate foundations and grants. Some of these have both open and closed calls forproposals, which you can bookmark for your fundraising strategy.

Hello.
I’ m Mr Saturday Gregory from Uganda, director of “The light of the world international organiztion” (L.W.I.O). I got the vission of helping the needy children for the last fourfteen years, but early 2013 i officially started the journey with three children , but so far iam in 15 children these are the children who’s families have bee affected by HIV/AIDS and poverty, but i am lucking funding to meet their needs. So i appeals to all people who are concern to assist in any way because these are the leaders of tommorrow who can change the world.

Hello,

we are a group of passionate and committed 9 young people (4 boys and 5 girls) in our finale year of study at Chancellor College of the University of Malawi in different programs. We have an initiative to start-up an organization named Centre for Child Development and Research (CCDR) and to that end we have submitted our documents for registration with the Malawian Government, NGO BOard, and CONGOMA. Currently, we are working in four program areas namely; Early Childhood development, Girl child education, Special needs education, and research and development.

“our vision is to see a Malawi where every child especially those in special circumstances have the opportunity to grow, and develop to their full potential by engaging families and communities in research and practice”.

We would like to find out if there can be some partners to help build our capacity in program management considering that we are just fresh from school with very limited experience apart from volunteer work we are currently doing in communities surrounding our beloved University!

Social Action and Rural awareness (SARA)Trust is a registered NGO working for the development of rural area women, children and the disabled of Periyakulam Taluk in Theni district of Tamil nadu, India since 2006 in Health and Education aspects.

Our project area Periyakulam Taluk is one of the backward areas in the District. Most of the population belong to Scheduled caste and are agriculture coolies for daily wage. Rate of education is very less.The high school level educatged youth want to study further. But due to their economic condition, they are unable to continue.

In order to develop their seif sustainability and dependency, SARA is conducting vocational training like Nursing course by collecting a nominal fee of Rs.1000/- per month. At present it is running in a rented building.

If any donor sponsors the tuition fees for the needy students, it is welcomed and also for the building construction.

Assodev is identified with Registration No. G-10,976 of 18th February 2003 and D.S.W./1901 of 5TH AUGUST 2003 respectively, with the aims and objectives of rendering Selfless Social Services to Humankind.

Our youth are the future leaders and their development is considered paramount to the whole nation.
We are currently working with the youth empowerment, equipping them economically, politically and socially to stand the test of time. We offer them training in ICT, computer, Mobile phone repairs, Masonry, Carpentry, Shoe making. Indeed we anticipate absorbing more of the idle youth by 2015. For now much emphasize is put on school dropouts, particularly the rural girl child who are the most vulnerable.
Currently we have over 100 youth on training and the results is absolutely remarkable. However, our major constraints are: appropriate accommodation facility of our own and initial kick-start capital for the trainees after the exercises.

Our mission is to build the capacity of the youth on various disciplines and set them up for economic emancipation. Our ultimate objective is to eradicate poverty or at best reduce it to an appreciable level by the 2015. We have made tremendous efforts through our own local contributions and from the Board of Directors as supplement.

We shall be most grateful if we could partner with you as your local representatives for collaboration to enable us source funding to support this remarkable program. In-fact it is for the development of the skills, knowledge of the very deprived, the underprivileged and the needy rural communities.

NIWA is a non-governmental organization with focus on issues affecting women and young people; addressing, human rights, reproductive health and rights, water and skill acquisition and development. We work more in the jard to reach rural communities where the needs are most felt and have personal contact with members of the communities.
